Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Entomologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal physiology, scientific research, and laboratory experience. This role involves studying insects and their relationships with the environment, other organisms, and human activities. The Entomologist will conduct research, analyze data, and contribute to projects aimed at understanding insect behavior, ecology, and taxonomy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific research on insect species and their ecological roles.
• Collect and analyze samples in the laboratory to study insect physiology and behavior.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and findings.
• Collaborate with other scientists and researchers on interdisciplinary projects.
• Provide expertise in areas such as environmental law and pest management strategies.
• Educate the public or stakeholders about insects’ roles in ecosystems through presentations or reports.
• Assist in the administration of medication to study subjects when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while handling live specimens.

Qualifications

• Masters or doctorate degree from the United States in Entomology, with a focus or course study in medical entomology.
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and taxonomy.
• Familiarity with microbiology principles as they relate to entomological studies.
• Proficiency in scientific research methodologies and laboratory practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $92,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
